Showcasing the best of the landscape and horticulture profession in Ontario

Landscape Ontario Horticultural Trades Association holds an annual juried competition to recognize excellence among its members, provide marketing opportunities and raise the bar for the industry. The program is open to all Active members of the association.

Entries are accepted into the following programs:

Enter your projects online

All entries by Landscape Ontario members must be be submitted online via LOawards.com during the dates entries are being accepted. Once entires close, a panel of judges reviews each and every entry based on the images and project description submitted, and uses a score card to evaluate each entry. Those entries what score the required number of points are then awarded a Landscape Ontario Award of Excellence.

All winners are announced during a live ceremony held each year, and winners receive a plaque featuring each winning entry.

Awards programs

The main awards program is the Construction, Maintenance and Design Program (which includes programs for Irrigation, Lighting, Interior Plantscaping and Websites). Each program contains various categories that cover the wide scope of work completed.

The Grower Awards Program is run separately via the submission and live judging of nursery stock at the annual Industry Auction, hosted by a different nursery grower each year.

The annual Garden Centre Program recognizes the creativity of independent plant retailers and includes categories for unique merchandising displays, print advertising and customer engagement events.

Top scoring winners from the construction and maintenance programs will go on to compete in the National Awards of Excellence program.
